1. Overview

Protecting your data matters to me. Here you can find out which data is processed when you visit this website, for what purpose, and what rights you have. This website does not use any tracking or analytics services and does not load content from third-party servers.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website and my email inbox are hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus. Hostinger also delivers the website through its own network of servers (CDN) so that it loads quickly. When you visit, the server stores technically necessary data in log files: IP address, date and time, the page requested and the browser identifier. This serves security and stable operation (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The log files are only kept as long as necessary for this purpose and are then deleted.

4. Cookies and local storage

This website only sets one technically necessary cookie (fe_typo_user), and only when you log in to the customer area or put something in the shopping cart. It contains a session ID and is deleted when you close your browser. Legal basis: § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG and Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR. There are no other cookies, no tracking and no advertising.

If you change a setting in the “Accessibility” menu (for example larger text), your browser saves this choice in its local storage (localStorage). It stays on your device, is not transmitted to me and can be deleted with “Reset” or in your browser settings. Legal basis: § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG.

5. Contact form and email

When you write to me via the contact form or by email, I process your details (name, email address, optionally phone number, topic and message) to answer your request. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (enquiry about a possible order) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The message is sent by email to my inbox, which is also hosted by Hostinger (see section 3). The data is deleted once your request has been dealt with, at the latest after 3 years – unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise.

6. Customer area

I create logins for the customer area for my clients. Stored are the username, name, email address and the password as a hash. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. I delete the login when our cooperation ends or when you ask me to.

7. Orders

When you order something, I process your name, billing and delivery address, email address, optionally phone number and the order data in order to fulfil the contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). Because of tax and commercial law obligations I keep order and invoice data for up to 10 years (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR). For shipping I pass name and address on to DHL or Deutsche Post.

8. No external services

Fonts, images and icons come from my own server. No Google Fonts, no analytics tools and no social media plugins are used. Links to other websites only connect to their servers once you click them.

9. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). You can withdraw consent at any time. Just write to info@marians-kleine-medienbude.de.

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW), Kavalleriestr. 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.

10. Data security

The connection to this website is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are only stored as a hash and cannot be read by me.
